We are currently accepting submissions

Our exhibition season runs from 1st May - 31st October, and with three main blocks of exhibitions.

Each exhibit is comprised of a large group show in the main galleries, three individual artist project rooms and two video rooms.

Our programming is unique in that we select the majority of the artists we exhibit from our pool of submissions, and we receive over 350 artist submissions per season.

• Postmark deadline is November 30, 2007.
• We do NOT accept e-mailed submissions.
• Submissions are reviewed for the 2008 season, which runs from 1st May- 31st October.
• Artists selected for the 2008 Season will be notified in late March 2008.
• We may keep your submission for up to 8 months.
• Do not call or email to check on your submission.
• Do not ask to pick up material; you must include a SASE.

What to send:

• 10 labeled 35mm slides of your work, with accompanying slide list
• Resume, artist statement and project description/ proposal, if applicable.
• Submit video on VHS or DVD.
• We do accept applications on CD. Images must be Mac compatible (jPeg, tif, pdf) not less than 1500x2100 pixels. ALL CD SUBMISSIONS MUST be accompanied by color prints of at least ten of the digital images, or they will not be reviewed.
• A self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) for the return of your samples. Work samples WILL NOT BE RETURNED without a SASE. Apply sufficient postage, or include sufficient international postal coupons. Do not use metered stamps for your SASE.

The Soap Factory provides installation assistance as well as a stipend to artists and curators selected for our programs. In addition, we provide publicity, exhibition invitations, mailings, opening reception and artist talks. We do not provide insurance cover for work exhibited at The Soap Factory. All work is shown at the artist's own risk.

There is no commission taken from art works sold.
