The MAP Gala is a fundraiser for Marcy Open School, a K-8 public school featuring an arts-infused curriculum.
Be prepared to be amazed with fire, electric performances and stunning art from local and national world-class artists.
Proceeds from the live and silent auctions will pay for artists’ residencies in the school next year. Past galas have paved the way for the Marcy middle school musical, Ghanaian drumming and dancing, folk dance, a Chinese dragon puppet workshop and performance, an African Roots music residency, an all-student photography exhibition, a plants and natural dyes residency, and an all-school observational drawing series. Gala funds have also purchased a printing press.
Savvy collectors look forward to the Marcy Arts Gala for world-class art pieces.Over 200 artists donate work for the event, and many wellknown artists are participating this year to include Kelly Marshall, Eddie Hamilton, James Burpee, Lisa Nankivil, Rod Massey, James O'Connell, and Todd Norsten.
