A Fundraiser for Preservation Alliance of Minnesota
Tickets at the door, $10
As a notable example of both adaptive reuse and preservation-in-progress, The Soap Factory's historic warehouse is the ideal site for (Anti) Wrecking Ball, a fundraiser whose proceeds help preserve Minnesota's historic resources. Come for a great party, and stay to find out who's on the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places List for 2010.
The goal of the (Anti)Wrecking Ball is to kick-start advocacy support for the sites on the 10 Most Endangered list. Local supporters of the listed sites will attend the event to present information on these ten significant historic places, the threats they face, and what interested citizens can do to help ensure a preservation solution. People in attendance at the (Anti)Wrecking Ball will be allowed to vote on which of the ten listed properties should receive a $2,500 seed grant from the Alliance
